Obama in Quincy

We were only about 20 feet from the President. There were 2,300 people there to see him at the same place we got married, the Oakley Lindsay Center.

More Bathtime

He not only talks a lot in the bath, but he sucks the water out of his washcloths. Sometimes he tries to get the washcloth and ducky in his mouth.

Bathtime

He was talking up a storm so I caught some great facial expressions. Check out his 2 front bottom teeth!!

Bath Fun

He loves to talk alot (like his Daddy). He was talking to Ducky lots during this bath.

Chocolate Pudding

He doesn't care for many baby foods, but he sure likes chocolate pudding!! Then again, who doesn't like chocolate pudding?

7 Months and Counting

Seems like he's growing at warp speed. In the last week he started walking (while we hold his sides), waving (more like trying to hit something in front of him with 2 big arm swings) and saying Da-da-da(with his mouth moving before and after silently like a bad Chinese movie). He is getting so big! Rolls from tummy to back then back to tummy again. Its an amazing thing...to watch your little baby learn to do so many things. Crazy to think about my parents, grandparents, etc all went through the same with their kids. Really puts things into perspective.
We went to my parents' for Easter in these pics. He had fun but coulda cared less about the easter eggs.

St. Louis trip

We thought it would be a nice break from routine to go on a family trip overnight in St. Louis. I made sure the hotel had a crib and thought we would be set. We had a great time in the 80 degree weather. Lukas enjoyed watching people as we sat outside at Starbucks. He had fun playing in the pool for the first time. Daddy enjoyed the free video arcade :) Everything was going great until it was bed time. Lukas did not want to be in their crib at all, even though we put his normal crib musical fish toy in it. He ended up sleeping in the middle of the king size bed, taking up most of the bed...Eddie had to squeeze in on his side. Lukas woke every couple hours crying. Long long sleepless night! Had a great time the next day playing at the mall's playground and going to the Butterfly house. He loved watching the hundreds of butterflies flying around us. We went to the indoor carousel, but it was too loud for him. Maybe next time...when we DON'T spend the night we can try the carousel again.

Self-feeder

We finally figured out why Lukas won't eat his baby food. He will only eat if he is in charge of the spoon. When he hears it leave our hands and clink onto his tray, he grabs it and "eats". A very messy process for a 6 1/2 month old...but at least he's getting some solids in his belly.
